A new Market Strategies International national study, Health Care Reform 360, reveals attitudes and worries employers have about health care reform.

The full study is available to purchase, but released findings reveal that:

Sixty-two percent of employers hope health care reform is repealed

Twenty-nine percent are strongly in favor of repeal

While it has been touted as a cost-saver for employers, 72 percent do not believe reform will reduce their company’s health care cost burden

Sixty-three percent disagree that it will make their company more viable in attracting and retaining employees

“However, seven in ten believe some parts of health care reform should stay in place and 58 percent believe reform was long overdue,” said Susan McIntyre, senior vice president of Marketing Strategies’ Healthcare Division. “This suggests that while most employers do not support the law as it is currently written, there is support for some aspects of the law.”
